Executive Council Meeting March 11, 2024 – Helmsmen Toastmasters
Attendees: Andrea Clark, Angela Bryant, DTM Annette Sanks, DTM Carl Sabath, DTM Herman Raybon Jr,

President Carl Sabath called meeting to order at 7:30pm
REPORTS:
VP Education – DTM Carl Sabath:
-Carl shared the goals and announced that we need one Level 3 and some Level 1s and Level 2s.
— Kim should be able to obtain Level 1 for Motivational Strategies.
–Annette will complete Level 2 and Level 3.
-We’re up to 15 members, 10 of which signed up for the year. We are losing Ain Grant and Eric Gordon.
VP Membership – DTM Annette Sanks:
-We need to encourage as many as possible of our club members to attend the conference in person or
virtually. As our club will be receiving several awards.
-Club members commit to bringing guests to the Open House.
VP Public Relations – DTM Herman Raybon Jr:
-A couple guest attended from the meetup registration.
-Recommend an open house to attract members to replace ones that are leaving (tentatively May 16th).
Place flier around Pentagon since it’s a scheduled Hybrid meeting.
-Herman will send sample fliers invite for Exec board to vote.
-Herman has not been out to the Facebook page but invites everyone to visit and share the page.
-International Conference will be in California, registration is open.
Treasurer – Andrea Clark:
-Nine people renewed, five paid thus far.
-2nd period (April-Sept) only partial payments allowed, payments for the year opens in Oct. Carl thinks
the website will change in March.
-Suggest we take an old flier and make it an ad for the program.
-Account balance is $970.59 as of 11 March, $60 will be deducted.

-Still has to itemize the paraphernalia received from Nancy.
Secretary – Kim Winborne:
-Exec minutes were sent for review.
-Kim will set up a Helmsmen Groupme account for the Executive Board.
