1) Call for Speaker to enter Area 11 Contest to represent Helmsmen TM on March 9th
2) Area 11 Director Aundrea Veney asks that HTM supply a couple of judges to the Area 11 Contest – qualifications are being a member in good standing, being a member fo 6 months, given at least 6 speeches in legacy program or have completed 2 levels in Pathways.

Meeting called to order at 7:34pm
President Carl Sabath shared the goals and announced that all officers have attended TLI.
REPORTS:
VP Membership – no report
VP Public Relations – DTM Herman Raybon Jr:
-Herman has access to Facebook and will coordinate with Aundrea Veney to activate our Facebook
account so we can invite others to visit our social platforms.
-Ernie Davis will be a keynote Speaker at the District Conference on April 26-27, 2024. The Mayor of
Alexandria is an award recipient this year. Early bird tickets are $100.
-Voted and approved that Helmsmen will place an ad in the program for the District Conference, cost
$50 for ½ page. This may increase our membership. Contest for creating advertisement, winner receive
$10 off dues.
-If Toastmasters join our club, they don’t have a new members fee.
Secretary – Kim Winborne:
-All minutes are up to date and distributed.
-During the weekly meetings, invite guests to provide an email if they want to receive club minutes.
-Recommend providing announcements via text messaging oppose to email as an option on the new
membership application.
Treasurer – Andrea Clark:
-Account balance is $820.49.
-President recommends a discount of $20 to encourage new members.
Sargeant at Arms – Angela Bryant:
-Angela received paraphernalia from past SAA, Nancy brown but have not itemized.
-Unused gift certificates can be used as prize winners.
VP Education – DTM Carl Sabath:
-Goals have not changed, missing Levels 1 and 2.
-Andrea Clark working on Level 3.
-Kim Winborne working on Level 1 of Motivational Strategies.
-Angela Bryant working on Level 1 of Presentation Mastery.
-DTM Herman Raybon Jr working on Level 5 of Presentation Mastery.
