Congratulations Kim Winborne for being our Toastmaster of the Day today with the theme “September”

We welcomed our new Area 11 Director, Wes Padilla, DTM!

Business:

1. TMoD for next week, September 27th, is Kim Winborne

2. TM Dues is Due — Carl Sabath sent out invoices to most everyone. Semiannual dues is due by the end of September. Please bring it to the meeting or make arrangements to meet Elizabeth Femrite or Herman Raybon, outside of meeting time
To get your dues in. Dues covers the period from 1 October 2018 – 31 March 2019.

A. Lillian Wilkinson asked everyone to look at their progression as well as the Distinguished Club Plan goals to show how their progress is necessary to move us toward another year of being a President’s Distinguished Club

Goals – 1. Obtain 2 CC’s
2. Obtain 2 more CC’s
3. Obtain 1 ACB, ACS or ACG
4. Obtain another ACB, ACS or ACG
5. Obtain 1 leadership award – CL, ALB, ALS, DTM
6. Obtain 1 more CL, ALB, ALS, DTM
P1. Obtain 4 Level 1 Award
P2. Obtain 2 Level 2’s
P3. Obtain 2 more Level 2’s
P4. Obtain 2 Level 3’s
P5. Obtain 1 Level 4
P6. Obtain 1 Level 5
7. Obtain 4 new members
8. Obtain 4 more new members
9. Have Officers complete TLI in both Summer and Winter sessions
10. Submit Dues and New Officer Lists on time

B. Demo Meeting in the works – The officers are working on setting up a Demo Meeting in an Army Office to provide a short TM meeting as well as an opportunity to bring in new members.

C. Anniversary Event – We are planning an event for our 61 1/2 birthday. More information to be forthcoming.

4. Speaker/Role SignUp – Just a reminder to fill out the signup sheet that goes around during the meeting for roles at future meetings. Please let our VP-E Elizabeth Femrite know when you wish to give your next speech.
You can also send our VP-Education an email indicating when you want to perform a specific role or when you are on leave…try to plan ahead. This helps the TM of the Day plan for the meeting.

5. Please assist Randy Estrella, our VP-Public Relations as he works to increase our social media presence.

We can always fit you in! You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, and Table Topics Master, Timer, and many of the other duties. During or immediately following the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small evaluation in your leadership book.
