Don’t forget to cheer on Kimberly Pollard, as she will compete at the District 27 TM Conference in the Humorous Speech Contest on Saturday!

Reminder to think about holding an officer position for the Jan-June 2017 semester.

Business:

1. Toastmaster of the Day for our next meeting 2856, Thursday, November 10, will be Kim Winborne. Please e-mail Kim your role requests.

2. We need your ideas to expand membership, please contact VP Membership Kimberly Winborne with any suggestions.

3. Contests continue!!

Saturday, November 12, 2016 – District 27 Conference will host the Division A Humorous Speech and Table Topics Contests.
Location: Holiday Inn – National Airport – Crystal City

Arlington, Va 22202
Time: 8:00am – 6:30pm

4. New Officers are needed for January – June 2017. We will hold elections between November and December, the specific date will be forthcoming.

First Toastmasters Leadership Institute is 3 December at GMU-Arlington Campus.

Get your leadership skills refined! Speak to our nominating chair, current Area 11 Governor and Immediate Past President Forte Ward.
Toastmasters Leadership Institute available starting in December going through February.

Also, you will be in charge of celebrating HTM’s 60th Anniversary in March 2017!

5. TMoD Schedule. Please contact our VP-Education, Lillian Wilkerson to sign up for future Toastmaster of the Day roles. If you have an issue with the schedule please try to switch with another TM or call Lillian.

We can always fit you in! You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, and Table Topics Master, Timer, and many of the other duties. During or immediately following the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small evaluation in your leadership book.
