Business:

1. Next week, January 28, the TMoD will be Kim Winborne.

2. Club Officers (and aspiring leaders!) – Plan to attend a Toastmasters Leadership Institute session in January or February so the club can get credit for having completed goal 9 of the Distinguished Club Plan and so that you can get credit for a leadership award! (For more information, go to the District 27 website at d27tm.org or neighboring District websites District 29, District 18, District 36 for more information)

***Note this weekend’s TLI’s may be cancelled due to the weather; have a backup plan and look at upcoming TLI’s both in District 27 (d27tm.org) as well as those District 29, District 36 and District 18 and plan to attend so you get credit for the office you are holding and the club gets credit in the Distinguished Club Program for having officers trained in the Winter.

3. Contests are coming in early March. Please consider entering the International Speech Contest (Minimum of 6 speeches required) and the Evaluation Contest. More to follow but we would love to see you on the stage at the TM International Convention being held in DC this August. Herman Raybon reminds members that now is the time to start planning their speeches if they wish to compete.

4. HTM Room Schedule has been sent out to everyone for meetings through mid-July. Thank you, Jerrick Alexander for keeping the schedule going. If you have not received it please, let the officers know.

5. Meeting Number Note– The meeting number listed above is correct. We did have a couple snow days last year so we were a couple meeting numbers ahead sometimes on the agendas. The meeting numbers are correct on the HTM Room Schedule.

We can always fit you in! You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, and Table Topics Master, Timer, and many of the other duties. During or immediately following the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small evaluation in your leadership book.
