Helmsmen Toastmasters Club Meeting 2814- 14 January 2016 Minutes

Please congratulate Carl Sabath, DTM, as TM of the Day with his theme – “You Can’t Win It, If You’re Not In It!”

Business:

1. Next week, January 21, the TMoD will be Forté Ward if no one has previously been assigned that duty.

A list of assigned TMoD’s will be coming out soon. So step up and pick a day of your choice.

2. Club Officers (and aspiring leaders!) – Plan to attend a Toastmasters Leadership Institute session in January or February so the club can get credit for having completed goal 9 of the Distinguished Club Plan and so that you can get credit for a leadership award! (For more information, go to the District 27 website at d27tm.org or neighboring District websites District 29, District 18, District 36 for more information)

3. Contests are coming in early March. Please consider entering the International Speech Contest (Minimum of 6 speeches required) and the Evaluation Contest. More to follow but we would love to see you on the stage at the TM International Convention being held in DC this August.

During or immediately following the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small evaluation in your leadership book.
