Minutes for Meeting 2772, Helmsmen Toastmasters Club 2412, Thursday, 19
February 2015

1. Kimberly Scott stated the Demo Toastmasters Meeting will be Thursday, 26
February; Kimberly needs volunteers to fill roles. Please contact Kimberly
or Annette if you would like to participate.

2. The Helmsmen Club Contests will begin with next week’s Evaluation Contest
on 26 February. Trudie Root will provide the model speech. The
International Speaking contest will be 5 March. John Durish and Trudie Root
will prepare/host the contests.

3. Herman Raybon stated the Division Contest for winners of club contests
will be held between 23-28 of March and a venue is still needed– please let
Herman know if you know of an available venue.

4. REPEAT — SAVE THE DATES: Herman Raybon noted the Division Spring
Conference will hold the
Evaluation Contest on Friday night May 1 and the International Speaking
Contest will be held
on Saturday May 2. The Conference will take place at the Crystal City

5. Carl Sabath informed everyone that Toastmaster DUES are coming up in

President Annette Sanks inducted new official members Travis Herbranson and
Liz Dickerson into Helmsmen Toastmasters Club. Congratulations Travis and
Liz !!

Lillian Wilkinson was our Toastmaster of the Day with the theme: “Love’s

Forte Ward was our Listener!

Carmita Cooke was our Ballot Counter!

Carl Sabath was our Master Evaluator!

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot Seat” for last minute changes.
Things change often, so when you are ready to give your speech, let the TM
of the Day know even if you are not scheduled. We can always fit you in!
You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, and Table
Topics Master, Timer, and many of the other duties. During or immediately
following the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small
evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program — The more we do as individuals, the more goals
our Club achieves. If you go to Club Central and go to Distinguished Club
Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for
Helmsmen Toastmasters Club
