Minutes for Meeting 2769, Helmsmen Toastmasters Club 2412, Thursday January
29, 2015

Welcome esteemed guest Aundrea Veney– we look forward to you becoming a
member of Toastmasters!


1. Herman Raybon encouraged everyone to attend TLI whether you are a current
officer or not; Carmita went and found it beneficial. TLI dates attached.

2. Herman Raybon reported that the spring speaking contest is coming up and
District Spring Conference will be the 1st-2nd of May (Friday night and
Saturday) where the club winners will
compete; two weeks preceding the conference will be the Division contest —
thus we NEED club contestants!
The International Speech Contest this year will be in Las Vegas; last year
Jill and Yash attended.

Start thinking about competing!!

Personal Legend!”

Patrick Massenburg was the Wordsmith with the word of the

Trudie Root was our Listener!

Carmita Cooke was our Ballot Counter!

Forte Ward was our AH-counter!

Annette Sanks was our Tipster!

Ernie Davis was our Closer!

Carmita Cooke was our Table Topics Master

Trudie Root was our Master Evaluator!

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot Seat” for last minute changes.
Things change often, so when you are ready to give your speech, let the TM
of the Day know even if you are not scheduled. We can always fit you in!
You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, and Table
Topics Master, Timer, and many of the other duties. During or immediately
following the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small
evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program — The more we do as individuals, the more goals
our Club achieves. If you go to Club Central and go to Distinguished Club
Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for
Helmsmen Toastmasters Club
