Congratulate Jerrick Alexander for completing the Competent Communicator!

Club Business:

1. Elizabeth Femrite asked that members place flyers in sitting/common
areas, where allowed in their respective work places. Flyer is attached.

2. Ryan Harrell is working to secure the 9/10 Apex, 2nd floor area for
“Speech Training” to help promote Toastmasters objectives of better
speaking, listening and leadership skills. The tentative date is Wednesday
5 November 2014. If approved, we will need members to help staff the
tables.

3. Herman Raybon, Jr., mentioned the next contest is the District level
contest to be held during the District 27 Fall Conference on Saturday 1
November 2014. Come out to support Kimberly Scott as she competes for the
District Championship Humorous Speech Contest!

–Time: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot Seat” for last minute changes.
Things change often, so when you are ready to give your speech, let the TM
of the Day know even if you are not scheduled. We can always fit you in!
You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, and Table
Topics Master, Timer, and many of the other duties. During or immediately
following the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small
evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program — The more we do as individuals, the more goals
our Club achieves. If you go to Club Central and go to Distinguished Club
Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for
Helmsmen Toastmasters Club
