Welcome esteemed guests Tanya Ellis, Tanya.f.ellis.civ@mail.mil and Chelsea
West, Chelsea.m.west.mil@mail.mil !!

Club Business:

1. Jill Shanteau asked for a volunteer to replace her as the Mentorship
Chair as she is
going on leave starting 15 October. If you are interested in taking this
role,
please contact Jill for information and training.

2. SAVE THE DATE: The Division A District 27 Contest will be held Tuesday,
October 14 at the Bloomberg BNA site in Crystal City and Kimberly will be
competing. Volunteers are welcome to assist with the contest. Free parking
is across the street and Metro access is nearby at the Crystal City stop.

3. REPEAT: The District Conference will be 1 November 2014 at
the Radisson Hotel Largo in Upper Marlboro, MD. Cost is $75 until October
13; $90 from October 14-31; $100 the day of the event. The keynote speaker
is Craig Valentine who is an excellent presenter and has a website
http://www.craigvalentine.com where you can sign up for speaking tips.

4. REPEAT: Dues may be paid this September to Elizabeth Femrite or to Herman
Raybon
as Treasurer Carl Sabath is now at the Mark Center.

Trudie Root was our Listener!

Katelyn Kuehl was our AH-counter!

Annika L’Ecuyer was our Ballot Counter!

Kimberly Scott was our Tipster!

Lillian Wilkinson was our Closer!

Forte Ward was our Table Topics Master !

Carmita Cooke was our Master Evaluator!

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot Seat” for last minute changes.
Things change often, so when you are ready to give your speech, let the TM
of the Day know even if you are not scheduled. We can always fit you in!
You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, and Table
Topics Master, Timer, and many of the other duties. During or immediately
following the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small
evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program — The more we do as individuals, the more goals
our Club achieves. If you go to Club Central and go to Distinguished Club
Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for
Helmsmen Toastmasters Club
