Minutes for Meeting 2750, Helmsmen Toastmasters Club 2412, Thursday August
28, 2014

Club Business:

1. Presiding Officer Annette Sanks inducted Katelyn Kuehl as a new member of
Helmsmen Toastmasters Club. Katelyn was given orientation materials, a pin,
and provided a mentor Annika L’Ecuyer.

2. Lillian Wilkinson provided checklists for the upcoming club contests.
Helmsmen Club’s Table Topics Contest will be Sept 11 and the Club’s Humorous
Speech Contest will be Sept 18. The
Club needs a Contest Chair, Contest Master, and participants for these events.
Lillian encouraged everyone to consider participating and determine their role
by next Thursday. Herman said “you are not complete until you compete”!!

3. REPEAT: Dues should be paid by September and an email was sent out. Dues
may be paid to Carl Sabath, Elizabeth Femrite or Herman Raybon.

4. REPEAT: Training schedule for officers and toastmasters attached.

Elizabeth Femrite was our Timer!

Lillian Wilkinson was our Listener!

Katelyn Kuehl was our AH-counter!

Jill Shanteau was our Ballot Counter!

Katelyn Kuehl was our Tipster!

Herman Raybon was our Closer!

John Durish was our Table Topics Master !

Annika L’Ecuyer was our Master Evaluator!

Research Your Topic, “DIY Research Paper”

Congratulate Table Topic Speakers: Katelyn Kuehl, John Harms, and Herman
Raybon !!

Best Speaker was Kimberly Scott !!

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot Seat” for last minute changes.
Things change often, so when you are ready to give your speech, let the TM
of the Day know even if you are not scheduled. We can always fit you in!
You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, and Table
Topics Master, Timer, and many of the other duties. During or immediately
following the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small
evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program — The more we do as individuals, the more goals
our Club achieves. If you go to Club Central and go to Distinguished Club
Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for
Helmsmen Toastmasters Club
