Minutes for Meeting 2741, Helmsman Toastmasters Club 2412, Thursday June 26,

Welcome to Martha MacPhee, District 27 champion and International
Speechmasters’ contestant for the August Semi-finals in Malaysia, and Ralph
Jones, DTM District 27 Governor, .


Training for officers (repeated from last week):

1. Toastmasters Learning Institute (TLI). New officers are required to
attend training offered by TLI. All TMs are welcome to attend.
Training is free. As more dates become available, we will post.

a. Saturday, July 19, 2014, 9 AM-1 PM

9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Core Officer Training and Electives (TBD)
Food will be provided, donation requested
No pre-registration required

b. Thursday, June 26, 6-8 PM
Registration at 5:30 PM, Core Officer Training, Census Bureau Building
There are strict Security procedures to enter the Census Bureau building.
For this reason, all non-Census employees wishing to enter the building must
register two days beforehand (24 June 2014), so it can be forwarded to the
Census Security office.
The training will begin at 6:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM. Because of security
procedures, it could take up to 15- 30 minutes before you can enter the
building. So plan ahead.
Food will be provided, donation requested.

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot Seat” for last minute changes.
Things change often, so when you are ready to give your speech, let the TM
of the Day know even if you are not scheduled. We can always fit you in!
You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, and Table
Master, Timer, and many of the other duties. During or immediately
following the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small
evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program — The more we do as individuals, the more goals
our Club achieves. If you go to Club Central and go to Distinguished Club
Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for
Helmsmen Toastmasters Club
