Minutes for Meeting 2717, Helmsmen Toastmasters Club 2412, Thursday, December 19, 2013.

Welcome our honored guest Deborah Blockett, we look forward to you joining our Club.

Today we celebrated our annual Helmsmen Holiday Party. Thanks to Elizabeth Femrite for taking the lead and organizing a great celebration. Yash Sinha graciously stepped up to serve as our Table Topics Master with his “Yash-A-Roma” Table Topics. It was Salubrious for all in attendance and we let smiling with warm hearts.

Congratulations to our Club for the many significant accomplishments during the 2013 calendar year. Please see attached 2013 Club Highlights for details. Great Helmsmen say, “Yes!”


1 Mentoring Program is continuing to move forward. TM Jill Shanteau will provide detailed
information after the next Executive Board Meeting in January 2014.

2 District 27 Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI)/Club Officer Training. Please see attachment for details.
It’s Free professional training and open to all Toastmasters. All new Club Officers will need to attend the Core Officer Training.

3 Remember no meeting scheduled for Dec 26, and Jan 2. Please mark your calendars.

4 Next Helmsmen Club meeting is scheduled for January 9, 2014, in the PLCC.

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot Seat” for last minute changes.
Things change often, so when you are ready to give your speech, let the TM
of the Day know even if you are not scheduled. We can always fit you in!
You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics
Master, Timer and many of the other duties. During or immediately following
the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small evaluation in
your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program – The more we do as Individuals, the more goals
our Club achieves. If you go to Club Central and go to Distinguished Club
Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for
Helmsmen Toastmasters club
