Minutes for Meeting 2714, Helmsmen Toastmasters Club 2412, Thursday,
November 21, 2013.


1. District 27 Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI)/Club Officer Training , December 7, 2013 @ 8:30am – 2:00pm, Fairlington Community Center
3308 South Stafford Street Arlington, Virginia 22206. It’s Free professional training and open to all Toastmasters. Herman stress new Club Officers will need to attend. Please contact Herman Raybon if you have questions.

2. Fall Membership Contest will continue through our December 19 meeting.
Members are asked to bring guest to our weekly meeting. The Helmsmen Club
member with the most guest to join our Club will receive a $25 gift card.

2. Club Officer Nominations are open for the January-June 2014 period. If
you are interested in serving as an officer please talk to one of the
current committee members. If you are uncertain about holding a position,
you can work with the officer to learn more about the position.

3. New Club in Pentagon! There is a new club being formed and will meet on
Tuesdays from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Pentagon’s main food court area near the Dunkin
Donuts. Please help spread the word.

4. Remember no meeting scheduled for Nov 28, Dec 26, and Jan 2. Please
mark your calendars.

5. Holiday Party! Our party will be held 19 Dec., 2E579. Elizabeth Femrite is the POC. If interested in assisting with the party
please contact Carl Sabath or Elizabeth Femrite.

6. Our next meeting will be on Thursday, Dec 5, 2013 at 7:30am in room B7
of the Pentagon Library and Conference Center. Carlos Arzeno will be the
Toastmaster of the Day.

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot Seat” for last minute changes.

Things change often, so when you are ready to give your speech, let the TM
of the Day know even if you are not scheduled. We can always fit you in!

You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics
Master, Timer and many of the other duties. During or immediately following
the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small evaluation in
your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program – The more we do as Individuals, the more goals
our Club achieves. If you go to Club Central and go to Distinguished Club
Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for
Helmsmen Toastmasters club
