Hello Toastmasters!

Welcome to our guests, Carmita Cooke, Angela Danick and Christina Mabry! We hope you will consider joining our Club!

Congratulations to John Harms for delivering his 10th speech today and earning the Toastmasters Competent Communicator designation!

1. Our President, Lillian Wilkinson, reminded us that we are preparing for PENTAF Toastmasters Club to participate in our July 11, 2013 meeting. A Speech-a-Thon format is being considered for this meeting. Helmsmen Toastmaster and current District 27 Evaluation Champion, Carlos Arzeno, will be delivering a “Speech Evaluation” presentation.

2. Our VP-Education, Mike Quashne, reiterated during the “Tip of the Day” how easy it is for members to use Easy Speak when volunteering to fill and confirm roles or request speech slots. A check mark in Easy Speak means you have confirmed your role and/or attendance for a meeting. Where is your check mark for next week’s meeting???
– It’s easy; see the attached guide and try it here…………

3. Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI) provides a free training curriculum that is required for all Toastmasters Club Officers. Of course, any member with an interest in leadership can attend these sessions for free as well! Although we are in District 27, you can attend any of the other District’s training sessions noted in the attached TLI document. See the attachment for current training opportunities.
