Greetings Toastmasters,

Welcome Guests:

It was a pleasure having you and hope you will decide to become a member.

Thanks to all who attended and participated in our club Humorous Speech Contest to make it a success!

1. The next level of contest will be the Area 11 Table Topics and Humorous
Speech contests, to be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Aurora
Hills Community Center, 735 18th Street South, Arlington, VA 22202 at 6pm.
There may be a small fee at the door to help pay for the food
(usually $5.00 per person.)

2. We will return to our normal Toastmasters meeting format on September
20, 2012 and will meet in room B7. Toastmaster of the Day will be Forte Ward and Master Evaluator will be Royce Edington.

3. Remember to give your dues to Carl Sabath. It’s membership renewal
time. If you can’t get to Carl, contact Herman Raybon, Jr. or Elizabeth
Femrite to arrange a drop-off or pick-up.

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot seat” for last minute changes.

Things change often so when you are ready to give your speech let the TM of the Day know even if you aren’t “scheduled.” We can almost always fit you in!

You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics Master, Timer and many of the other duties. Right after the Meeting or during the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program – The More We Do as Individuals, the More Goals Our Club Achieves. If you go to club central and go to Distinguished Club Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for Helmsmen Toastmasters club
