2012-08-02 Helmsmen Toastmasters Club 2412 Meeting 2649 Minutes

Greetings Toastmasters,

Welcome guest Mel Washington! We hope you’ll decide to become a member.

Business:

1) We had an induction ceremony for three of our newest members: Cindy
Minnifield, Jill Shanteau and Damien Butler! Congratulations!

2) Thursday, August 9, 2012 Carl Sabath, DTM, will be the Toastmaster of
the Day and Mary Johnson will be Master Evaluator.

Speakers on deck: Kim Caudle, Amy Hunt, and Dan Krall.

3) We’ll meet in Room B7 for the August 9 and August 16 meetings in the
Pentagon Library and Conference Center.

4) On August 9, we will be hosting a breakfast meeting and providing a
lite-breakfast selection and beverages for everyone to enjoy.

5) Contest Reminder: We are looking for a Contest Master and Contestants
as well as other roles i.e., Judges, Timer, for the September Table Topics
Contest and Humorous Speech Contest we will be hosting. Please contact any
one of the officers for more information.

6) Mike Quashne, our VP of Education, has returned from the great State of
Alabama and will be updating the assignment sheet. If you need your manuals
to be initialed for completed speeches, or completed leadership roles,
please see Mike.

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot seat” for last minute changes.

Things change often so when you are ready to give your speech let the TM of
the Day know even if you aren’t “scheduled.” We can almost always fit you
in!

You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics
Master, Timer and many of the other duties. Right after the Meeting or
during the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small
evaluation in your leadership book.
