2012-06-28 Helmsmen Toastmasters Club 2412 Meeting 2644 Minutes

Good afternoon Toastmasters,

Welcome our newest member Carlos Arzeno who joined Helmsmen Toastmasters today!

Business:

1) A motion was made for the new slate of officers for the 1 July 2012 thru 31 December 2012 period.  The motion was carried by a unanimous vote of active members. The officers for the next term are:

–President Jim Adams
–VP Education Mike Quashne
–VP Membership Herman Raybon, Jr.
–VP Public Relations Elizabeth Femrite
–Secretary Sheila Heyward-Snipes
–Treasurer Carl Sabath
–Sergeant-at-Arms Yash Sinha

Please notify Carl Sabath of the date you attend one of the TLI training
events.

2)  Carl Sabath the Presiding Officer conducted an induction ceremony during
today’s meeting.  Congratulations!

3)  Bert Romero has stepped forward to manage the mentorship program.  Great Helmsmen say “Yes”! The newly inducted members were assigned a mentor.  If you do not have an assigned mentor please contact Bert.

4)  We’ll meet in Room B7 for the month of July and thru August 16th  in the Pentagon Library and Conference Center.

Yash Sinha was our Master Evaluator

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot seat” for last minute changes.

Things change often so when you are ready to give your speech let the TM of the Day know even if you aren’t “scheduled.” We can almost always fit you in!

You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics Master, Timer and many of the other duties.  Right after the Meeting or during the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program – The More We Do as Individuals, the More Goals Our Club Achieves.  If you go to club central and go to Distinguished Club Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for Helmsmen Toastmasters club
