Subject:  Minutes for Meeting 2635 Helmsmen Toastmasters Club 2412 Thursday

Fellow Toastmasters,

 

Please welcome Raquel Upshur and Daniel Krall as our latest Helmsmen Toastmasters!

 

Business:

1) Toastmaster of the Day for next week will be Mike Quashne, our VP, Education.

2) Next week we’ll meet in Room B10 of the Pentagon Library and Conference Center.   (B10 is our room for May.)

3) Mark That Date: May 3, 2012, please volunteer to spend a little time at our Membership Drive table, talking up Helmsmen Toastmasters. Please contact Elizabeth Femrite or Herman Raybon for more information.  It will be held at the 9/10 Apex on the 2nd floor.  Your help is needed to speak to potential members.  Thank you for stepping up!

4) The District 27 Spring Conference & Speech Contest, May 11-12, 2012 (Friday and Saturday), Washington Navy Yard, 1454 Parsons Avenue SE, Bldg. 211 Washington, DC 20374-5092. Attached is a Spring 2012 District 27 Proxy from for the District 27 Council Meeting on 12 May 2012.  Registration is at the

5) President Jim Adams gave out the minutes of the Executive Council meeting

(see attached)

6) Latest schedule of duties is attached.  Mike Quashne, our VP, Education, is helping everyone track their speech and leadership goals.  If you have questions, please ask.

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot seat” for last minute changes.

 

Things change often so when you are ready to give your speech let the TM of the Day know even if you aren’t “scheduled.” We can almost always fit you in!

You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics

Master, Timer and many of the other duties.  Right after the Meeting or during the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small evaluation in your leadership book.
