Subject:  Minutes for Meeting 2634 Helmsmen Toastmasters Club 2412 Thursday
19 April 2012

Fellow Toastmasters,

Welcome guest Dan Krall! We hope you’ll decide to join our club!

Business:

1) Steve Hill gave us a brief statement about the Division contest held last
night.  At this level the speeches are very impressive.  The District 27
Spring Conference contest will be held May 11-12 2012 at the Washington Navy
Yard.  To register go to http://www.d27tm.org/

2) Executive Committee meets Wednesday 25 Apr 2012 1100-1200 in main Food
Court.

3) Membership drive to be held Wednesday 2 May 2012, on 2nd floor Apex 9-10
in Pentagon.

4) Next week we’ll meet in Room M1 of the Pentagon Library and Conference
Center.

5) Toastmaster of the Day for next week will be Mike Santivasci.

Congratulate Jennifer Mitchell, Speaker 1, with her speech “Staying Positive
in a Negative Work Place Environment”,
Competent Communicator Manual Project #2, Organize Your Speech, evaluated by
Lillian Wilkinson

Congratulate Tami Kim, Speaker 2, with her speech “Get Involved”, Competent
Communicator Manual Project #1, Ice Breaker Speech, evaluated by Mike
Quashne

Table Topics Master was Jim Adams

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot seat” for last minute changes.

Things change often so when you are ready to give your speech let the TM of
the Day know even if you aren’t “scheduled.” We can almost always fit you
in!

You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics
Master, Timer and many of the other duties.  Right after the Meeting or
during the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small
evaluation in your leadership book.
