1) Reminder:  The Division A Spring 2012 contest (International Speech and
Evaluation contests), hosted by the Division A Governor, Anton Vanterpool,
Wednesday, April 18, 2012 6:30-9:00 pm at BNA, 1801 S. Bell Street,
Arlington, VA 22202.

The District 27 Spring Conference & Speech Contest, May 11-12, 2012 (Friday
and Saturday), Washington Navy Yard, 1454 Parsons Avenue SE, Bldg. 211
Washington, DC 20374-5092. Attached is a Spring 2012 District 27 Proxy from
for the District 27 Council Meeting on 12 May 2012.  Registration is at the
following link:

2) Next week we’ll meet in Room B7 of the Pentagon Library and Conference

3) We inducted Tami Kim as a new member into the club.  Go Tami!!  Welcome

4) Toastmaster of the Day for next week will be Bert Romero, our

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot seat” for last minute changes.

Things change often so when you are ready to give your speech let the TM of
the Day know even if you aren’t “scheduled.” We can almost always fit you

You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics
Master, Timer and many of the other duties.  Right after the Meeting or
during the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small
evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program – The More We Do as Individuals, the More Goals
Our Club Achieves.  If you go to club central and go to Distinguished Club
Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for
Helmsmen Toastmasters club
