Minutes for Meeting, Helmsmen Toastmasters Club 2412, March 22, 2012

Hello All,

We welcomed guests – Bryan Pangle (2nd time), Raquel Upshur and Tiffany Helm.  Our doors are always
open. We hope you will decide to become members!

1.  Carl Sabath reminded everyone about club dues.   If you want to make
arrangements to meet Carl, please
contact him at 703-695-2804 or email

2.  Herman Raybon gave encouragement to the club.  Stay motivated.  Continue
to want to get better as a speaker.

3.  Jim Adams discussed the Joint Area 11/Area 13 Spring 2012 Contest
(International Speech and Evaluation contests).  The contest is being hosted
by the Assistant Area 11 Governor Curt Hellenbrand, from 6:30 pm (1830 hrs)
to 9:30 pm (2130 hrs) on Wednesday, 28 March 2012 at the Aurora Hills
Community Center, 735 18th Street South, Arlington, VA 22202. Lets
support our Club Winners: Lillian Wilkinson and Mike Santivasci.

4.  Next week’s Toastmaster of the Day (TMoD) will be Carlton Hart.

5.  Next meeting will be in B-7 in the Pentagon Library and
Conference Center.

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot seat” for last minute changes.

Things change often so when you are ready to give your speech let the TM of
the Day know even if you aren’t “scheduled.” We can almost always fit you

You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics
Master, Timer and many of the other duties.  Right after the Meeting or
during the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small
evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program – The More We Do as Individuals, the More Goals
Our Club Achieves.  If you go to club central and go to Distinguished Club
Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for
Helmsmen Toastmasters club
