Good Morning Toastmasters,

Welcome Jennifer Mitchell (third time), Forte Ward (third time) and Jim
Brewer our guests. We hope you’ll decide to join our club!


1) District 27 Fall Conference: Save the date to attend the District 27
Fall Conference including District Table Topics and Humorous Speech Contests to be held on Friday November 11 and Saturday November 12 at L’Enfant Plaza Hotel, located at 480 ‘Enfant Plaza, SW, Washington, DC 20024. For more information go to

2) Club Officer elections for the January – June 2012 term, will be held in
the November/December time frame. To learn more about the club officer roles check out

3) We will meet in Room M2 in the Pentagon Conference Center next week Thursday 3 Nov 11.

4) The assignment sheet is attached please check your name for role

5) You may wonder how to address various leader roles during a Toastmaster meeting. Lillian Wilkinson, VP Membership, has provided a list of protocol for our use.

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot seat” for last minute changes.

Things change often so when you are ready to give your speech let the TM of
the Day know even if you aren’t “scheduled.” We can almost always fit you

You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics
Master, Timer and many of the other duties. Right after the Meeting or
during the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small
evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program – The More We Do as Individuals, the More Goals Our Club Achieves. If you go to club central and go to Distinguished Club Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for Helmsmen Toastmasters club
