Good Afternoon Helmsmen,

Welcome to our guests Jennifer Mitchell and Sheila Snipes. We hope you’ll
decide to join our club!

Welcome to our newest members David Farguharson, Kumar Garg, and Michael Quashne!

Contest Information: Let’s plan to come out and support Andrea Clark in the Division A Table Topics Contest to be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at 6:30pm, at the BNA Conference Center, 1801 S. Bell St, Crystal City, VA.

Additionally, the winner from Division A contest will participate in the
District 27 Fall Conference including District Table Topics and Humorous
Speech Contests to be held on Friday November 11 and Saturday November 12 at L’Enfant Plaza Hotel, located at 480 ‘Enfant Plaza, SW, Washington, DC 20024. More info to follow on d27tm.org.

Business:

1) Room Change! We will be meeting in Room M3 in the Pentagon Conference
Center next week on Thursday, 6 Oct 11.

2) Membership Dues! Carl Sabath is still collecting dues (Since Carl is on
leave today and tomorrow you may contact Lillian Wilkinson in his absence.)

3) The assignment sheet is being updated and will be sent shortly.

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot seat” for last minute changes.

Things change often so when you are ready to give your speech let the TM of
the Day know even if you aren’t “scheduled.” We can almost always fit you
in!

You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics Master, Timer and many of the other duties. Right after the Meeting or during the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program – The More We Do as Individuals, the More Goals Our Club Achieves. If you go to club central and go to Distinguished Club Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for Helmsmen Toastmasters club. http://reports.toastmasters.org/reports_new/dcp.cfm

As the new Toastmaster year starts, perhaps we can be President’s
