Good Afternoon Helmsmen,

Congratulate Stephanie Pettway our newest member to join Helmsmen ToastMasters!

Congratulate Bert Romero for completing his Competent Leader manual!

Area 11 Contest — Plan to come out and support our Helmsmen Toast Masters Jim Adams in the Humorous Speech category and Jonathan Watson in the Table Topics category. The Area 11 Contests starts at 6:15 p.m. and will take place on 21 Sep 2011 at Aurora Hills Recreation Center at Pentagon City.


1) Room notice! We will be meeting in Room B10 in the Pentagon Conference
Center on Thursday, 22 Sep 11.

2) Membership Dues! Carl Sabath will be handing out chocolates as dues are
paid. The sooner you pay the more chocolate you will receive.

3) Toast Master of the Day will be Carl Sabath.

4) Please check your role on the updated assignment sheet.

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot seat” for last minute changes.

Things change often so when you are ready to give your speech let the TM of
the Day know even if you aren’t “scheduled.” We can almost always fit you

You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics
Master, Timer and many of the other duties. Right after the Meeting or
during the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small
evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program – The More We Do as Individuals, the More Goals
Our Club Achieves. If you go to club central and go to Distinguished Club
Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for
Helmsmen Toastmasters club.

As the new Toastmaster year starts, perhaps we can be President’s
Distinguished this year.
