Hello Helmsmen,

Welcome to our guests Luther Jackson and Terrance Holmes. We hope you’ll decide to join us at the Helmsmen Toastmaster Club.

Old Business:

VP-Education Jim Adams reminded us that we will have our Helmsmen TM Evaluation Contest on 14 April during our regular club meeting time. Volunteers are needed for Evaluation Contestants, Contest master, Chief Judge, Judge, Model Speaker, Ballot Counter, Timer, Sgt @ Arms. All members in good standing are eligible to enter the contest except for our District Officers (Earl and Terry). Anyone who wishes to provide any of the contest roles can email Carl at .

Congratulate Rochelle Unrue for leading the meeting with the theme “April Showers.”

Word of the Day “Contemplative” provided by Jim Adams.

Opening was provided by Lilnell Small-Storm.
Grammarian and Ah Counter was Todd Oja.
Timer was Lilnell Small-Storm.
Ballot Counter was Jim Adams.
Listener was Devon Harrison.
Tip of the Day was provided by Jim Adams.
Closing was provided by Lilnell Small-Storm.

We had three very informative speeches today:

Speech 1 “Me, Myself and I” by Mary Johnson and evaluated by Lillian Wilkinson.

Speech 2 “Relationships” by Elizabeth Femrite and evaluated by Jim Adams.

Speech 3 “The Forgotten Conflict” by Todd Oja and evaluated by Terrence Holmes .

Table Topics Master was Carl Sabath.

Master Evaluator was Bert Romero.

Best Speaker was Elizabeth Femrite!
Best Table Topics Speaker was Lillian Wilkinson!
Best Evaluator was Terrence Holmes!

April 14, Evaluation Contest

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot seat” for last minute changes.

Things change often so when you are ready to give your speech let the TM of the Day know even if you aren’t “scheduled.” We can almost always fit you in!

You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics master, Timer and many of the other duties. Right after the Meeting or during the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program – The More We Do as Individuals, the More Goals Our Club Achieves. If you go to club central and go to Distinguished Club Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for Helmsmen Toastmasters club. Our club number is 2412. We have achieved 7 goals so far this year!
