Hello Helmsmen,

Happy April Fools Day!

Welcome to our guest Terrance Holmes. We hope you’ll decide to join us at the Helmsmen Toastmaster Club.

Old Business:

President Dvija Malovic reminded us that we will have our Helmsmen TM Evaluation Contest on 14 April during our regular club meeting time. Volunteers are needed for Evaluation Contestants, Contest master, Chief Judge, Judge, Model Speaker, Ballot Counter, Timer, Sgt @ Arms. All members in good standing are eligible to enter the contest except for our District Officers (Earl and Terry). Anyone who wishes to provide any of the contest roles can email Carl at Carl.Sabath@osd.mil .

Refer to the Meeting Assignments Tracker and Syllabus Tracker to keep up with your meeting assignments. A copy of the tracker is included as an attachment. Contact James Adams, Vice President-Education for more info. He is usually available before or after the meeting.

Congratulate DTM Carl Sabath for leading the meeting with the theme “April Fools.”

We had three very informative speeches today:

Speech 1 “Justice is Within Your Hands…” by Christen Holder and evaluated by Lilnell Small-Storm.

Speech 2 “Coalition Building” by Todd Oja and evaluated by Rochelle Unrue.

Speech 3 “Grecian Travels” by Beth Garcia and evaluated by Terry Bartholomew.

Table Topics Master was Andrea Clark.

April 7, Regular Meeting, TMoD will be Rochelle Unrue. Our theme will be “April Showers.”
April 14, Evaluation Contest.

Remember that you can always be on the “Hot seat” for last minute changes.

Things change often so when you are ready to give your speech let the TM of the Day know even if you aren’t “scheduled.” We can almost always fit you in!

You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics master, Timer and many of the other duties. Right after the Meeting or during the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small evaluation in your leadership book.

Distinguished Club Program – The More We Do as Individuals, the More Goals Our Club Achieves. If you go to club central and go to Distinguished Club Program (DCP) reports, you can view the latest status of the goals for Helmsmen Toastmasters club. http://reports.toastmasters.org/reports_new/dcp.cfm Our club number is 2412. We have achieved 7 goals so far this year!
