Business from President Earl White:

Keep up the momentum!

1. Next week’s TM of the Day will be Carl Sabath. We will be in Room B-10. He will be looking for folks to take on various roles.

2. Mentors and Mentees – Let us know who you would like to be mentored by or be a mentor to. The TM education program and meetings have a lot to learn from and sometimes we need help with a speech, understanding the TM education program or have questions about how club meetings are run….so let us know. We’ll try to have a sheet at the meeting and ask that question to you.

3. Thanks to Leilani Lucas for suggesting that tent cards will members’
names be available at meetings so we can get to recognize and know other Toastmasters more quickly. Thank you Kim for taking this action so quickly!

4. TM of the Day Schedule – if you can’t fulfill this duty, let Carl and
Bert know.

Sheila – June 10

Nathalie – June 17

Lori – June 24

5. Officers needed!

We will be having a (s)election of New officers for the July 1- December 31

Our club is led by 7 officers – President, VP Education, VP Membership, VP
Public Relations, Secretary, Treasurer and Sgt at Arms.

Training is free at the Toastmaster Leadership Institute and each officer
receives a (free) manual.

Receive credit toward your Competent Leadership award by being an officer!

6. Duty Schedule sign up and how it works. We have a spreadsheet that goes around at the meeting to indicate what role you would like to perform at each meeting. The schedule goes out 4-8 weeks. Most importantly, we’d like you to let us know when you can give your next speech. Help us plan and schedule our upcoming meetings.

6A. Things change often so when you are ready to give your speech let the TM of the Day know.

New members join and we need to incorporate them into the schedule. As you can see, flexibility is the norm.

7. Why not work on your leadership and speech awards simultaneously? Don’t forget to bring in your Speaker and Leadership manuals.

You can get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topicsmaster, Timer and many of the other duties. Right after the meeting or during the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small evaluation in your leadership book.

6. Guests (Past, Current)
For those guests who wish to join in June, the dues are $44 which includes
your speaking and leadership books and your magazine subscription as well as club dues. This covers you from June – September. In September all renewing members pay $36 for October – March time frame.

Happy Speaking!
