Congratulations all!

Our meeting was led by TM of the Day-sub Carl Sabath with the theme “The Seven Spokes”. Bert Romero had provided the theme based on Zig Ziglar’s model which basically says that we have different areas of our life and we need to maintain balance in all of them in order to have a completely balanced life.

Kim Humes provided the Opening

Word of the Day: TRANSFORMATIONAL was provided by Trudie Root

Grammarian/Ah Counter was Leilani Lucas

Listener was Cecilio “Rick” Ricardo

Timer was Nino Dobrovic

Speakers were Dvija Malovic who gave an ice breaker focusing on her love of
With “Fundamental Foodie Forays”

And Kim Humes worked on project 2 in the Special Occasion Speeches manual,
whose objective was Speaking to Praise, “YOU Can Make A Difference”

Table Topics Master was Nino Dobrovic

Master Evaluator was: Mike Santivasci

Tips: After your speech, say “Mr./Madame Toastmaster” to indicate your
speech is done
AND don’t forget to shake hands!

Business from President Earl White:

1. We inducted Trudie Root and Dvija Malovic, our newest members.
Please congratulate them next time you see them!

2. Terry Bartholomew attended the District 27 Conference last Friday and
Saturday and Helmsmen won $60 bookstore gift certificates for getting new
members and for achieving Distinguished status by April 1.

Our club also won a Golden Toaster Ribbon for having all seven officers
trained at both fall and spring Toastmaster Leadership Institute sessions.

Keep up the momentum!

3. Next week’s TM of the Day will be Terry Bartholomew. He will be looking
for folks to take on various roles

4. TM of the Day Schedule – if you can’t fulfill this duty, let Carl and
Bert know.

5. Duty Schedule sign up. We have a spreadsheet that goes around at the

meeting to indicate what role you would like to perform at each meeting.

Most importantly, we’d like you to let us know when you can give

your next speech. Help us plan and schedule our upcoming meetings.

6. Don’t forget to bring in your Speaker and Leadership manuals. You can

Get credit for being Toastmaster of the Day, Evaluator, Table Topics

master, Timer and many of the other duties. Right after the meeting or

during the meeting, ask your fellow Toastmaster to provide a small

evaluation in your leadership book.

7. Guests

For those guests who wish to join in May, the dues are $50 which includes

your speaking and leadership books and your magazine subscription as well as

club dues. This covers you from May – September. In September all

renewing members pay $36 for October – March time frame.

8. Officers needed!

We will be having a (s)election of New officers for the July 1- December 31

Our club is led by 7 officers – President, VP Education, VP Membership, VP
Public Relations, Secretary, Treasurer and Sgt at Arms.

Training is free and each officer receives a manual.

There are folks that can help you out.
